Have I Got News for You?!?!?!

Hey there shopaholics ... I have some news for you!

You may remember a couple of days ago I told you that we were finally getting the keys to our new house today? Well, we have. Hurray! I have to admit I was almost certain something else was going to go wrong. I don't know what, exactly, but something.

Lucky for us it didn't, and we got the keys this afternoon. I'm a little giddy with excitement at the moment :)

Now we're the proud owners (gosh, it feels so weird saying that), we have precisely 4 weeks to move all of our stuff in and vacate the council property that we're living in now. Luckily, I have almost everything packed in boxes and labelled up so we know which room each one is for. I don't think I've ever been so organised in my life!

The one thing I haven't yet sorted is curtains and cushion covers for the living room. The lovely couple who we bought the house off have kindly left the curtains and blinds for every room, but I still have my eye on some others from one of my favourite homeware stores. After all, it doesn't hurt to look does it?!

I love the floral theme that is in the house already so I definitely want to stick with that. When browsing online I found an affordable range of curtains from TJ Hughes, and one of the pairs has a red flower pattern on that would look absolutely fabulous. Especially as our three piece suite is a lovely burgundy colour!

Throw cushions are ideal for a quick make over and I really like that TJ Hughes have cushion covers that match their curtains perfectly. I don't know why, but I don't like mismatched items?! It's something that drives Nathan completely crazy but I don't care. I am what I am!

The thing I like most about TJ Hughes though, is that you can get high quality branded homewares at low prices - they certainly cater for everyone, including people like me who are on a budget.

Have you ever shopped at TJ Hughes before?
What do you think?

  4. Well done on moving into your new home, Louise. It looks lovely. I've always liked the idea of having one wall a different colour from the rest. Have fun with decorating! :D
