Fashion | Valentines Day Outfit on a Budget

Valentine's Day Outfit on a Budget

I don't know about you guys, but I love an excuse to dress up! Over Christmas I wore lots of lovely new, sparkly dresses, and now I feel a bit deflated as I don't have an excuse to dress up in my finery.

However, Valentines Day is on it's way and I'm secretly hoping that Nathan and I will get to spend a bit of quality time together. I'd like to make an effort and wear a nice new outfit for the occasion but in truth, I've spent up! And if you saw my latest haul post this week then you will know why ;)

I've been browsing some of my favourite online stores though, and have managed to come up with an entire outfit that would be perfect for Valentines Day and costs less than £40.00! And if I'm still not feeling flush nearer the time, I can easily go without a new bag and shoes and use some that are already sitting in my wardrobe. Splendid!

The focal point of this outfit is most definitely this gorgeous red drape shoulder jersey dress from LOVE. I'm personally a big fan of these sorts of dresses as you can just throw them on when need be and dress them up in a instant with just a few accessories ... perfect! What's more, this dress is currently on sale at just £14.00. Bargain.

For shoes, I chose a pair of plain black mid-heel courts from Shoesdays. I love these shoes as they come in at the super cheap price of just £8.99, but they look really classy and oh so much more expensive. I don't really think you can go wrong with court shoes as they are ideal for work in the day yet can always be dressed up at night.

I don't think this dress needs many accessories at all to make it look nice. But I do like the look of the coloured freshwater pearl wrap bracelet from Lou's Corner with it. The bracelet is actually £12.99, but my readers can get 10% off for life with the code SECRETSHOPPER, bringing it down to £11.70.

And last but not least I've added a black patent baroque metal plate clutch bag from New Look. I've always been a big fan of their bags and this one is actually bargain at just £5.00 (reduced in the sale). I love the detailing on there. It's just gorgeous.

So there you have it, my Valentines Day Outfit on a Budget.
Are you doing anything nice for Valentines Day this year?

  1. This is such an elegant outfit, it looks like it cost so much more than it actually does! I hope I can find an outfit that looks more expensive than what it really is for Valentine's Day too! :)
